How Much Does a Dubai Trip Cost From India in 2026?

Section 01What a Dubai trip from India actually costs

Flex the same assumptions and the other two tiers follow. Around ₹50,000 gets you a shoulder-season fare, a Deira hotel, one attraction and street food. Above ₹1.1 lakh buys a Downtown or Marina address, taxis instead of the Metro, and three or four paid experiences.

Section 02Do you need a visa, or do you get one on arrival?
Most Indian travellers arrange a visa before departure. Visa on arrival exists, but eligibility comes from a document issued by another country rather than from the Indian passport.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that from 13 February 2025, Indian nationals holding ordinary passports with valid residence permits from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea and Singapore can obtain a visa on arrival at any UAE entry point.
That added to existing eligibility for Indian nationals holding a valid visa, residence permit or Green Card from the United States, European Union or United Kingdom.

Holding one of those documents, the visa on arrival runs 14 days and extends once for a further 14. The fee is around AED 100 at the counter. Holding none of them, this route is closed and you apply in advance.
What applying in advance costs

Processing takes three to four working days. Since December 2025 you can apply for up to two 30-day extensions through the ICP portal without leaving the country, at AED 600 or more each. Fees are published by GDRFA Dubai and change without much notice, so check them on the day you apply.
ICP requires the Indian passport to hold at least six months of validity, stated when the February 2025 change was announced. It is checked at the airline counter in India, not at immigration in Dubai.
The same threshold applies to whichever document you are relying on for visa on arrival. Gulf News has reported cases of travellers refused boarding because that document was close to expiry. Airlines are penalised for carrying ineligible passengers, so they screen for it. Check both before booking anything non-refundable.
Applications now also require a colour scan of the passport cover page rather than only the data page, which is a common cause of avoidable rejections. Section 03Flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru
Dubai sits three to four hours from most Indian metros, short enough to leave after work and land the same night. Fares differ by city.

The gap between full-service and low-cost carriers on this route can exceed ₹30,000 for the same dates. On a three-hour sector that premium buys lounge access and miles rather than meaningfully better travel, so check both before defaulting to a familiar airline.
Section 04Why the hotel zone matters more than the hotel
Two people can book the same dates at the same star rating and spend very differently, because the variable is Metro access rather than the room. A hotel two stops from a station means every outing starts with a cab.

Burj Khalifa morning slots, roughly 8am to 10am, are priced around 40% below prime sunset tickets for the same observation decks.
On money, carry US dollars from India and convert on arrival rather than buying dirhams at an Indian airport counter. Check the cash limits on international flights from India first, because the cap on foreign notes is lower than most people expect.
